Terms of Service

Preps AI helps you study by turning uploaded materials into quizzes, topics, and AI-assisted feedback. Features may change over time as we improve or adjust the Service.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at preps_ai@preps.so if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Upload or generate content that is illegal, harmful, or that you do not have the right to use
• Abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service or its AI features
• Attempt to access other users' private content or systems without authorization
• Use the Service to violate academic integrity policies of your institution where those policies apply to you
• Reverse engineer or scrape the Service except where permitted by law

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the Service or other users.

You retain ownership of materials you upload and content you create in the Service ("User Content"), subject to any rights of third parties in that material.

You grant Preps AI a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, display, and otherwise use User Content as needed to operate and improve the Service—including sending content to AI providers for quiz generation and grading.

Uploads are private by default. If you make a quiz public, it may appear in the public library and be accessible to other users. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share that content publicly.

Quizzes, explanations, and grading feedback may be generated or assisted by AI. Output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation. Preps AI is a study aid, not a substitute for official course materials, instructors, or professional advice. You are responsible for how you use AI output.

If you purchase paid features, payments are processed by our payment provider (Paystack). Fees, billing terms, and refunds (if any) will be described at the point of purchase or in related communications. You authorize us and our payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for applicable amounts.

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. Content you delete in the product may be soft-deleted (hidden from normal use) and may remain in our systems for a period for operational or legal reasons.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PREPS AI AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
